Nuestra Historia
Rooted in Mexico. Raised in Austin. Inspired by Mexicana Matriarchs.
Tozi Superfoods began with a simple but powerful belief: the way our ancestors ate was deeply nourishing — and we can bring that wisdom forward.
We trace our family lineage in Mexico the late 1500s and grew up spending summers on our six-generation ranch in Jalisco, learning how food was grown, harvested, and prepared with intention. Corn wasn’t just an ingredient — it was culture. Amaranth wasn’t a trend — it was ancestral fuel.
When we couldn’t find authentic Mexican staples in the U.S. made without artificial preservatives and industrial seed oils, we decided to create them ourselves.
Tozi is proudly Mexican-American and women-owned, founded by a mother-and-daughters team in Austin, Texas. Our backgrounds span:
A supply chain and food sourcing strategist focused on ingredient integrity
A Mexican chef who has helped open and operate restaurants across Texas for over 30 years
A board-certified oncology physician with a foundation in clinical nutrition
Together, we combine culinary tradition, scientific insight, and operational discipline to craft tortillas and chips made with non-GMO blue corn and ancient Aztec amaranth — ingredients celebrated for their fiber, antioxidants, and protein.
We believe Mexican food is not heavy.
It is not processed.
It is not a stereotype.
It is vibrant. Nutrient-dense. Life-giving.
In 2025, Tozi placed 1st out of hundreds of brands in H-E-B’s Quest for Texas Best — validating what we’ve always known: clean, culturally authentic Mexican food belongs at the center of the table.
But Tozi is more than a product.
It’s a movement to honor our matriarchs, uplift our community, and prove that heritage and health are not opposites — they are partners.
¡Saludos a la salud!
